Vista del Valle in Grades K-6 are considered an AVID "Showcase" School for the accelerated learning and effective instruction that is occurring as a result of using the AVID College Readiness System.  Being a Showcase school enables Vista del Valle to invite teachers and administrators from throughout Southern California to visit and learn more about our success in being an AVID School.  Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary through higher education that is designed to increase school-wide learning and performance.
